ONE POSSIBLE PROTOCOL 66 STORY
They were together
every night.
Their attention
was somewhere else.
Same sofa. Same dinner. Same bed. Two people passing the hours an arm’s length apart.
FOLLOW 66 DAYSNothing was broken enough
to become a crisis.
Just quiet enough
to become normal.
A fictional narrative illustrating the intended Protocol 66 experience. Unloop is in development; individual outcomes and timelines will vary.
ONE
AWARENESS · THE MOMENT BEFORE
The first thing they got back was the moment before the open.
They did not promise to quit their phones. They began noticing the automatic sequence: Cue → Urge → Scroll → Relief. Unloop calls that circuit a Loop.
They each chose the apps whose automatic opens they wanted to interrupt. Each selected app became a Loop. They set My Plan, signed a Consent Form, and began their own Protocol 66.
Day 1 was not about better behavior. It was about seeing the behavior soon enough to choose.

DAY 07 · FIRST VICTORIES
The reflex still arrived.
It stopped getting the final word.
When a selected app met Unloop’s Shield, the default 90-second Pause made room between the Urge and the open.

DAY 14 · CONVERSATIONS RETURN
The second question came back.
Not only “How was your day?” but “What happened next?” Five uninterrupted minutes became twenty. Silence began feeling shared instead of vacant.
Attention did not make the moment spectacular. It let the moment finish.
TWENTY-FIVE
THE TABLE
Three dinners a week were phone-free.
Sometimes it was only the two of them. Sometimes parents, siblings, grandparents, and children filled every chair.
They were not proving discipline.
They were protecting a place.
DAY 38 · MORNINGS
Morning began before the feed did.
The first scroll became coffee, toast, weather, and plans for the day. Their phones still helped with maps, messages, music, and work. They stopped letting a feed decide the mood before either of them had spoken.
The day began with each other,
before anything asked for their attention.
THE QUIETER CHANGE LEFT A TRACE
Progress kept the honest record.
In Progress, they could follow Days On Track, Urges Outlasted, estimated time reclaimed, and each Loop’s changing Habit Strength. Lower is better.
Real Unloop interface · Example data, not a beta outcome

DAY 50 · WEEKENDS
The weekend got its weather back.
A trail after rain. Fishing until the light changed. The phone came along as a map, a camera, or a call home—then went away when its job was done.
DAY 58 · THE CIRCLE
Their world grew larger than two again.
Friends stayed through dessert. Family stories stretched past bedtime. Plans survived the group chat and became real rooms, real faces, real noise.
Attention returned to the circle.
DAY 66 · PROTOCOL COMPLETE
The phone was still there.
So were they.
Pick it up for a reason. Put it down when the reason is gone.
Nothing disappeared from their lives.
Their lives returned to the foreground.
PRIVATE iPHONE BETA
Unloop interrupted
the Loop.
Their connection grew.
A conversation. A morning. A friend you keep meaning to see. The person already sitting beside you.
Unloop is an iPhone experiment in active development. Request early access and we’ll email if a private-beta place opens.
Your life is already happening.
THE HONEST ENDING
A finish line, not a forever streak.
Day 66 completes Protocol 66. Graduation is measured separately for each Loop: its Habit Strength must remain below the Reflex Threshold for 14 days on track. The private beta is being built to learn what changes in real life.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A few honest
answers.
Is this a real customer story?
No. It is a fictional narrative showing what the intended Protocol 66 experience could look like. Unloop is still being tested, and outcomes are not guaranteed.
Does Unloop expect me to stop using my phone?
No. Unloop is designed to interrupt automatic opens, not intentional use. The Pause gives an Urge time to pass before you decide what happens next.
What if I open the app anyway?
That event is recorded as Fired. It is data, not a moral score, and the next choice remains yours.
Can I use Unloop now?
Not yet. It is an iPhone experiment in active development. Request early access and we’ll email if a private-beta place opens.
